This is an exciting and fast-paced position! Our IT (Information Technology) Engineering and Technology Development team delivers software solutions to leadership and engineers throughout Micron's global manufacturing network. As a Software Development Engineer at Micron Technology, we have the chance to create and improve Micron systems and processes on a global scale. We will collaborate with customers across departments and geographical sites to design, develop, innovate, and support software throughout the development life cycle. Be part of the team to support efficient business processes by keeping a focus on global alignment and taking part in efforts to research and influence technology roadmaps.

As a Software Development Engineer at Micron you will configure, develop, maintain, and support Micron custom developed applications. You will create and analyze software specifications, and research, design, document, modify, and support software throughout the development life cycle. You can demonstrate the functional and technical skills necessary to switch between development technologies and merge them to deliver the best solution. You have a proven ability to create quality software and take part in quality improvement efforts. You will provide solutions that create business value while at the same time minimizing negative impact through defects, downtime, or performance degradation.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Working in a team of highly skilled software engineers responsible for developing software that enables the ever-increasing miniaturization of semiconductor technology.

  • Working with customers and other stakeholders to gather a complete understanding of their requirements.

  • Partnering with customer teams to develop and build requirements that provide the best possible solution.

  • Designing, developing, debugging, documenting, testing, and deploying applications.

  • Working closely with Photolithography Engineering Teams, Product and Application Development teams, and other internal customers during application development and deployment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Proficient in:

  • OOP, Java, and C#

  • Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, and other Web technologies

  • Git

  • Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and other container technologies

  • Cloud experience, Azure is preferable.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

  • Motivated to learn new skills independently

  • Creative thinker with good problem-solving abilities

  • Experience building or solving non-commutative radial and cartesian coordinate systems preferred

  • Previous experience in semiconductor manufacturing preferred

  • Previous experience with photolithography process and equipment preferred

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or computer engineering or related fields.

  • Knowledge of UI/UX and prototype designing

  • Hands on experience with REST APIs will be preferentially considered.

  • Ability to extract data from different databases via SQL and other query languages.

  • Growth mindset and good self-learning motivation on all new IT skills.

  • Strong troubleshooting, problem analytics and debugging capabilities.

  • Fluent English ability

  • Experience related to full stack software development.
