Unit/Position Summary

The Nursing and Patient Care Center of Excellence partners and mentors with nurses in certification, advanced education, EBP projects, research, and manuscript publishing. This position will report to our Director of Nursing Practice in the Center of Excellence for Nursing and Patient Care Services.

This position will have an Adult Health/Cardiovascular focus; no direct patient care. A strong Med/Surg, Ambulatory Care background is needed for this position. Hours: 8-5, M-F with some flexibility. The schedule will consist of 60/40 split for remote, in-office, and some travel; no overnight.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors’ degree in Nursing

  • Experience: 6 years’ related experience

  • Licenses/Certifications: Current RN License from the State of Practice

Resonsibilities:

  • Facilitates the identification and deployment of best practices to support organizational strategic objectives.

  • Provides subject matter consultation in support of quality, stewardship, and service goals.

  • Administers services determined to be more efficiently and effectively performed centrally.

  • Facilitates system workgroups.

  • Engages with strategic partnerships to drive performance across the organization.

  • Represents SLHS in interactions with external regulatory bodies, national groups, etc.

  • Identifies opportunities for innovation.

  • Participates in the development of long-range plans which support the system’s philosophy, strategic directive and general objectives.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
