Position Overview :

The Managerof Professional Services Consultantsis responsible forthe managingand developing a team ofconsultantsthat provideconsulting servicesofstate-of-the-arthealthcare applications. 

The Manager-Professional ServicesConsultantsis a frontline management role with three primary responsibilities, listed below.This position willtypically report to a DirectorofProfessionalConsultingServicesor aVicePresident ofProfessionalConsultingServices,butmay receive a matrix assignment to other business units asrequired.

The ideal candidate will have experience providing customer facingconsulting servicesfor enterprise SaaS solutions with a drive to challenge their abilities and to develop deep productexpertise.Asaleaderwithinthe team, youwillutilizea wide range of technologies combined with deep knowledge ofHealthEdge’sproductsto provideexceptionalcustomer support.

About Global Professional Services:

Our Global Professional Services team supports customer-funded service delivery initiatives separate from standard SaaS license support activities. Examples include customer implementations, business expansion, and optimization initiatives.

Your Impact:

  • Frontline management role with three primary responsibilities:

  • Services Delivery : The Manager - Professional Consulting Services is responsible for the successful delivery of consulting services as well as the coordination of activities and information between key engagement stakeholders.

  • Personnel Management : The Manager - Professional Consulting Services is also responsible for the management of consulting personnel, which would include participation in staffing decisions, performance reviews, and career development support.

  • Revenue Generation : Finally, this roleis responsible forgrowing revenue in assigned projects, primarily through effective client and engagement management.

  • Directly manage a team ofProfessional Services team members, consisting of Business and Technical Consultants

  • Manages the work of theconsultantsunder their direction (e.g.direct, matrix, or subcontractor) to ensureoptimalresourceutilizationand engagement execution

  • Ensures that all assigned team-members have a solid understanding of client businessobjectivesand the plans in place toattainthose objectives

  • Providesbusiness and productleadership in analysis, communication, andconsultingskills

  • Ensures successful delivery of consulting services, particularly through effective engagement and customer management

  • Personally,deliver billable consulting services, primarily,as individual contributorand be able to perform the duties of a Principal consultant.

  • Become a subject matter expert and trusted client advisor forHealthRulesPayor

  • Meets assigned revenue targets through growth in assignedprojectsand effectiveutilizationof direct reports

  • Grows revenue for the assignedclients/projectsthrough the effective management and expansion of the existing account(s)/ project(s)

  • Leads the scoping, sizing, and estimating efforts for assigned engagements

  • Manage competing priorities to set overall prioritization ofproject activities

  • Be a creative,drivenandsupportiveTeamLeaderalways looking for ways to drive improved service and greater operational efficiencies and performance

  • Assistsdirect reports in personal and career development by providing regular feedback, coaching and guidance on personal development, and encouraging direct reports to take ownership of their personal career path

  • Participates in recruiting and employee development activities to ensure a balanced team with the right set of skills

  • Be driven to learn and understand the businessneedas well as the productneed

  • Perform all job functions consistent withHealthEdgepolicies and procedures, including those which govern handling PHI and PII

  • Participate in billable work as assigned up to75% in either a Principal Technical Consultant or Principal Business Consultant role, depending on skill set

  • Support internal initiatives andadditionalduties as assigned orrequired.

What You Bring :

  • Bachelor’sdegreein a business, technical, or related field

  • Minimum of10years ofhealthcareexperiencein a consulting role, workingat a technology company with a SaaS model.

  • Experience in managing,scaling,and upskilling Professional Services teams, preferably within a SaaS model

  • Prior health Plan industry (HMO, PPO, POS, MAPD, Medicare, Medicaid, Dental etc.) experience

  • Experience with Health Plan Claims and Benefits Administration Software

  • Experience leading client discovery, requirements gathering,facilitatingclient sessions, triaging of implementation issues, and testing complex interfaces

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.  Ability to negotiate solutions to complex issues that satisfy the needs of a diverse group of constituents.

  • Prior experience leading the scoping and delivery of technology services engagements, including project and engagement management 

  • Ability tohandleproject-based work and to manageowntasks,schedules,anddeliverablesand/or those of project team members

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to articulate concepts to a variety of audiences

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment. Flexible in adapting to changing priorities

  • Experienced resource manager.Demonstrated ability to manage technical personnel and processes

  • Proficiencyin negotiating and managing conflict.

  • Passionate about producing high-quality work and customer delight.

  • Self-motivated,proactiveand able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

  • If technical background, experience with web technologies, middleware such as WebLogic/WebSphere and popular RDBMS systems

  • If technical background, strong knowledge of databases (preferably Oracle), understand schemas, database structures

  • If technical background, experience with Linux operating systems

  • If business consulting background, oversee overall business design as it relates to theHealthRulesPayor Platform

  • If business consulting background, ability toguide the configurationand executionof the business design

  • Experience withSOAP andWebservicesis a plus

  • ITS/BlueCard experience a plus

  • Ability to navigate andoperateinSmartSheetsand Salesforce.
