Aerotek Maintenance Mechanic in Boise, Idaho
Description:
The Maintenance Technician role requires proficiency in multiple skilled disciplines such as welding, fabrication, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, boiler, or HVAC. The technician should be able to weld and fabricate basic items for repairs, diagnose most problems using knowledge and troubleshooting techniques, and use a multimeter and megger to diagnose electrical issues. Training Level 1 technicians in basic welding, electrical, or other skilled disciplines is also expected.
The technician must complete training in Troubleshooting Electrical Circuits, Control Circuits, Motor Circuits, Industrial Controls, and Industrial Controls 2. They should be able to start up equipment and utilities, be proficient in production or utilities operations, and operate the DAF system, conduct jar tests, and make chemical adjustments.
A self-motivated attitude and a willingness to learn independently are essential. The role involves continuous improvement, demonstrating responsibility, and providing excellent customer service across departments. Time management skills are crucial, as is proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, including circuits and VFDs. Understanding and reading electrical schematics, implementing preventative measures during repairs, and training and mentoring Level 1 and 2 technicians are also required. The technician should demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
