Job Summary:

As Valet Supervisor, you will work with valet attendants and front desk to successfully execute all guest service operations, including guest arrival and departure procedures. You will be responsible for maintaining a high level of customer service in tandem with establishing a safe and secure environment for all guests and associates. The supervisor will monitor the performance of Valet Attendants and verify compliance with all policies, standards and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others, demonstrating positivity, honesty, and integrity; leads by example.
  • Supervises and manages all day-to-day operations of valet, ensuring department efficiency, and company standards are met.
  • Understands the impact of Valet/Guest Service operations on the hotel/restaurant and works to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Works in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment requiring physical stamina and proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts.
  • Communicates performance expectations and keeps Valet team focused on the critical components of the role.
  • Displays leadership in guest hospitality, exemplifies excellent customer service, and creates a positive atmosphere for team members.
  • Observes service behaviors of employees and provides feedback to individuals and/or managers.
  • Identifies the developmental needs of employees and provides guidance and direction, helping others improve their knowledge or skills.
  • Respond to guest inquiries in a courteous manner, promoting services of hotel and restaurant, ability to give directions to nearest highway, destination, and local attractions.
  • Immediately report any incidents or claims to upper management.
  • Must have a welcoming, positive attitude and ability to communicate professionally at all times with guests and teammates.

REQUIREMENTS:

Previous valet experience a plus, but not required.

At least 19 years of age and valid driver\'s license.?

Clean driving record with no major traffic violations or accidents.

Interpersonal skills balancing attention to guest needs and effectively interacting with all employees and leaders.

Must maintain a positive attitude and interface with hotel guests in a congenial and polite manner.

Ability to handle emergency situations while working under pressure.

Physical ability to perform all functions of valet attendants. Must be able to withstand prolonged standing, and frequent walking.

Ability to lift or carry 50 pounds unassisted in performance of specific tasks assigned.

Punctuality and reliability a must.

Knowledge of basic vehicle operation and troubleshooting minor issues. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles (stick shift), preferred.
