The Graduate Medical Education Department is now hiring for a highly organized and adaptable part-time Graduate Medical Education Coordinator to work onsite at our Regional Medical Center in Boise!

Position Summary & Highlights:

  • This position will work closely with the Graduate Medical Education Manager and collaborate with coordinators, managers, and educational institutions to ensure smooth operations of graduate medical education programs.

  • You will support the administrative functions of the Graduate Medical Education department, maintain strong relationships with educational partners, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards for clinical student placements.

  • The Graduate Medical Education (GME) Department at Saint Alphonsus exists to supports local residencies and residents rotating within our health system, as well as graduate level students pursuing MD, DO, NP or PA professions.

What You Will Do :

  • Assist with the general administrative tasks of the Graduate Medical Education department, including managing paperwork for medical and graduate student clerkships and rotations.

  • Manage credentialing, orientation events, and activities for Residency programs in collaboration with representatives from those sites.

  • Lead hospital tours and orientation for new students and residents, ensuring they are familiarized with the facility and its operations.

  • Facilitate Educational Affiliation Agreements and contracts with universities like Boise State University, Idaho State University, and the University of Washington. Ensure understanding and interpretation of contracts.

  • Work closely with the legal department on Residency contracts and student affiliation agreements.

  • Ensure all facility and regulatory standards are met for clinical student placements during rotations.

  • Process student shadowing and observation requests for those pursuing healthcare careers.

  • Support the development and implementation of graduate medical education policies, procedures, and planning alongside the Medical Director of Medical Education.

  • Ensure regulatory requirements for Resident Medicare reimbursements are met, working with the Trinity Health Regional Director for Reimbursement.

  • Maintain the strictest confidentiality of credentialing and sensitive provider information, ensuring high levels of accuracy in all tasks.

  • Assist with surveys, data collection, and special projects as needed. Maintain the Meditrac database for resident information and reimbursements.

  • Attend budget meetings and prepare budgets for residency programs, calculating Resident rotations for reimbursements.

An ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, including solid previous prioritization/deadline experience and skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Also have strong knowledge of the healthcare field, enjoy working with a variety of colleagues, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Work Schedule :

  • This position will work 24 hours/week, during the work week (Mondays – Fridays).

  • This position would work 3 or 4 days per week and would work one day remote (Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday)

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Two (2) years' experience in a health care or administrative setting preferred.
