What You Can Expect:
This is an exempt status role
The Facility Architect manages the professionals in the design of buildings and structures that may include alterations or repairs.
Provide preliminary plans, space planning, facility master planning, and cost estimating for remodels and new construction projects.
Considers the impact within the local environment.
Works closely with stakeholders.
Resolves issues during construction.
Acts as the liaison to outside architectural firms, engineering firms, and building officials.
Responsible for interpretation and application of codes and accrediting bodies criteria.
Provide leadership, guidance, counseling and continuing education to staff. Select, develop, coach, mentor, and assess performance of staff. Works with staff to promote resolution of conflict and counsels staff when standards are not met.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Additional duties may include:
Establish scope, schedule, and budget
Coordinate IHT/ SC/ FFE
Work in conjunction with PM/CM/BSD/APMO4
Manage permitting and AHJ's
Standards Committee
Manage PM Manual
Develop processes/procedures
Increase use of Procore
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in Architecture
Experience: 5 years experience as an Architect
Licenses/Certifications: Licensed as an Architect in the State of Practice
