North Atlantic Industries Electrical Engineer- Intern in Bohemia, New York
Full-time schedules for Summer internships. (40 hour week) Approx. Start Date End of May/Beg of June.
Internship salary is based on position and academic year standing.
Responsible for solving medium complex engineering problems throughout the many phases of engineering project work. Assist in the fabrication and evaluation of major units of equipment or prototypes. Perform varied work assignments involving evaluation and product processing under general supervision.
Requirements: Build prototype circuitry. Test and debug to component level. Write test procedures. Perform and clearly document an engineering evaluation on products, specifications and internal requirements. Address design problems on production hardware. Document schematics using schematic capture software. Write programs for microprocessors and components; Write programs for Automated Test systems; Write publishable quality test reports demonstrating product performance. Ability to recognize future needs of the company in terms of product development and production supports.
Qualifications and Education Requirements: Must have completed 90 credits towards Bachelors Degree in Engineering, and currently enrolled to complete desired degree. Technical knowledge of power supply products a plus. Desire to work in an engineering environment. Knowledge of drafting tools and practices, schematic capture software, and power supply circuitry.
