Robert Half Dispatcher in Bohemia, New York

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Dispatcher in the construction/contractor industry, based in BOHEMIA, New York. As a Dispatcher, you will take on a variety of responsibilities that involve leveraging your skills in computer programs, CRM, and management systems to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize ADP - Financial Services to streamline financial transactions and processes.

• Operate and manage IBM AS/400 systems to monitor and control operations.

• Employ computer programs to process and track job orders.

• Use CRM to manage customer relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

• Implement the 'About Time' management system to optimize work schedules and efficiency.

• Respond to and manage inbound calls, providing timely and accurate information.

• Handle all billing functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Maintain clear and effective communication with both team members and clients.

• Use your management skills to oversee dispatch operations and ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard.

• Answer inquiries and resolve issues promptly, maintaining a high level of professionalism at all times. Requirements • Prior experience in dispatching or similar role within the construction/contractor industry

• Proficiency in computer programs, including CRM and IBM AS/400

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Experience with management systems

• Knowledge of 'About Time' software

• Ability to answer and manage inbound calls effectively

• Experience with billing functions

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to handle high-stress situations and make decisions quickly

• Must be able to multitask and manage time effectively

• Familiarity with construction terminology and procedures is a plus

• Must have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with others.
