Position Summary :

MLU is looking for a Fleet Maintenance Manager to help keep their fleet of vehicles functioning efficiently. The ideal candidate will be someone with expertise in trucking and shipping vehicles, as they will be responsible for purchasing, maintaining, and repairing our fleet.

Job Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Daily management of trailers, vehicle maintenance and repair scheduling.

• Performing preventative maintenance Purchase fleet vehicles

• Schedule regular preventative maintenance

• Coordinate with our in-house staff and third-party vendors to schedule repairs

• Track usage and maintenance

• Maximize efficiency and minimize the cost of our trucking operations

  Skills and Competencies:

• Establish equipment check-in and check-out program for all maintenance tools, parts, etc... 

• Maintain and help reduce costs on overhead through parts budgeting and repair costs.

• Effectively communicate verbally with all levels of staff working independently and in a team environment.

• Ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions. Must be adaptable to performing under stress when confronted with emergency situations.

• Reinforcing team communication and teamwork before, during and after operations.

  Work Location and Travel:

• Bogart, GA

• Travel estimated at 25%.

  Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED certificate; associate degree or vocational certification (preferred)

• Trucking, logistics, or mechanic experience

• Organizational and management skills

• Maintain a clean driving record and be able to pull trailers to and from locations as needed
