Description

We are on the lookout for a Commercial Property Accountant to join our ranks in Boca Raton, Florida. The main function of this role is to ensure the accurate execution of accounting functions, specifically related to property accounts. The position calls for proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), as well as budget processes and cash activity.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems to manage financial data and generate reports.

• Use Microsoft Excel for data analysis, budgeting, and financial forecasting.

• Execute all Accounting Functions effectively, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) by verifying, reconciling, and paying invoices on time.

• Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) by issuing invoices, tracking payments, and pursuing overdue accounts.

• Participate in Budget Processes by assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial plans.

• Monitor Cash Activity to ensure sufficient cash flow and predict future cash requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in commercial property accounting or real estate accounting.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI) and Microsoft Excel.

• Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles related to commercial real estate.
