Overview

The Head of Ecommerce will lead Office Depot, LLC’s Commerce strategy and drive growth through the development and execution of innovative and effective online sales and marketing programs.

This position is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the Ecommerce strategy for Office Depot, LLC. This includes developing and managing the overall vision and direction of the organizations Ecommerce initiatives, as well as developing and executing plans to drive revenue growth through Ecommerce channels. The VP of Ecommerce collaborates closely with stakeholders to ensure the organization’s Ecommerce goals are met and that the customer experience is optimized. Additionally, this role requires effective communication and organizational skills to ensure the organization’s Ecommerce initiatives are successful.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a high-performing Ecommerce team and provide mentorship and coaching to team members and stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in Ecommerce and bring innovative ideas to the company.

• Develop and execute a comprehensive Ecommerce strategy to drive online sales and customer engagement while also taking the time to analyze customer behavior, market trends, competitive landscape to inform Ecommerce strategies and programs. Develop and manage Ecommerce budgets and financial targets.

• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of the company’s Ecommerce website and mobile applications; develop and execute a comprehensive Ecommerce strategy to drive online sales and customer engagement.

• Demonstrate commitment and model the company’s 5C Culture and attributes while investing in the success of the team to create a meaningful experience for associates. Evaluate teams to develop, train and reshape as necessary while mentoring and inspiring others to continually drive improved results through strong leadership.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in eCommerce, marketing, or related field, including at least 5 years leading cross-functional teams, managing budgets, and setting strategic goals

• Preferred certifications: Ecommerce Platform Expertise, SEO (Search Engine Optimization), CEA (Certified Ecommerce Analyst), CEP (Certified Ecommerce Professional), CESP (Certified Ecommerce Strategist), CESS (Certified Ecommerce Solutions Specialist)

• Expertise in ecommerce platforms and knowledge of web development and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP

• Skills and Abilities: Technical expertise, Leadership and management skills, Strategic thinking, Communication skills, Business acumen, Adaptability

• Familiarity with CRM systems, analytics/reporting tools, IMS (Inventory Management System), payment gateways, shipping and logistics systems, and fraud detection and prevention measures
