Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a diligent Accounts Payable Specialist in Boca Raton, Florida. The chosen candidate will be joining a team where most of the members work remotely, and will be expected to work on-site. The role will involve handling accounting duties primarily related to accounts payable and working with a virtual team. The job will be based in a physical office.

Responsibilities:

• Handle full charge Accounts Payable with a focus on three-way match

• Process under 100 invoices per month, including reconciliation, handling credit card and bank statements, and making payments

• Execute check processing duties

• Conduct vendor reconciliations and review credit availability for customers

• Reach out to customers for past due payments

• Sign off on packing slips for materials shipped to Kentucky or Canada and ensure their payment

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various tasks, including but not limited to working with pivot tables

• Use the ERP System IQMS, a program designed for manufacturing nylon polymer, for various tasks

• Handle some administrative duties

• Work with the CFO and VP on various tasks

• Expand duties to possibly include payroll for salaried employees using QB Desktop in the future.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Knowledge and experience with Great Plains (GPAC)

• Familiarity with IBM AS/400

• Proficiency in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Familiarity with Check Processing

• Ability to perform Data Entry tasks

• Experience in resolving Discrepancies

• Knowledge of 3 Way Matching

• Ability to perform Account Reconciliation

• Experience in Bank Reconciliations.
