Job Description

Our Healthcare Client is looking to hire a Data Scientist for a 6 month contract with the option of extensions. This will be a remote work from home position. This team is currently working on a Databricks implementation and needs a Data Scientist for data cleaning and text data.

As a Data Scientist, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze large datasets and create advanced models to solve business challenges. You will be responsible for implementing and optimizing machine learning models, analyzing trends, and delivering insights that drive business outcomes. You will also work on automating data processes and communicating findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection & Processing:

oExtract, clean, and preprocess large datasets from various sources (databases, APIs, etc.).

oHandle data wrangling, imputation of missing values, and normalization.

oPerform feature engineering to prepare data for modeling.

Modeling & Analysis:

oDevelop, implement, and validate machine learning models (supervised, unsupervised, and deep learning).

oApply statistical analysis and predictive modeling techniques to analyze trends and patterns in data.

oOptimize models through hyperparameter tuning and performance evaluation.

 Algorithm Development:

oBuild and maintain custom algorithms for classification, regression, clustering, recommendation systems, or other relevant tasks.

oDevelop and implement scalable and production-ready solutions.

 Visualization & Reporting:

oCreate dashboards and visualizations to communicate insights and trends.

oPresent complex data and models to stakeholders in a clear, concise manner.

 Collaboration:

oWork closely with data engineers, software developers, and business teams to integrate data science solutions into existing infrastructure.

oCollaborate with domain experts to ensure alignment between data solutions and business needs.

 Research & Innovation:

oStay updated on new technologies, techniques, and trends in data science, machine learning, and AI.

oPropose innovative solutions to improve existing models and data-driven approaches.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors or masters degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields.

Strong proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages.

3 5 years experience with machine learning libraries such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or XGBoost.

3 5 years experience with big data tools like Apache Spark, Hadoop, or SQL.

Expertise in statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and predictive analytics.

Solid understanding of data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib.

3 5 years experience with data preprocessing techniques (feature scaling, encoding, imputation)

Knowledge of version control systems like Git and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus

Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques

Experience with deep learning frameworks.

Experience in deploying machine learning models into production environments (MLOps).

Familiarity with big data technologies and experience with real-time data processing null
