Aon Corporation Senior Drafter in Bloomington, Minnesota

Aon is looking for a Senior Drafter for our Reinsurance Solutions team based out of Bloomington MN! As part of Aon's Reinsurance Solutions team, you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing and finalizing formal documentation memorializing the terms and conditions for treaty reinsurance agreements. You will be challenged to learn and remain well informed of industry terms and regulations. You will also help track industry trends and review wordings in order to better advocate for our clients. Job responsibilities Draft and revise reinsurance contracts, attending documentation, and related correspondence Assist brokers, clients, and reinsurance markets in resolving queries related to contract wording Assess reinsurance contract documents for completeness, accuracy and consistency to ensure that general processing and quality of assigned accounts complies with team guidelines Contribute to maintenance of library of standard clauses Monitor statutory positions, regulatory guidelines, judicial decrees, current wording issues and industry trends affecting reinsurance contracts Participate in marketing presentations to prospective and existing clients Proof simple peer revisions to contract documentation Perform other related duties as assigned Skills/competencies: Some contract administration, professional writing, legal and/or insurance/reinsurance industry experience preferred Competence in all facets of reading, writing and communicating in English, including advanced reading comprehension and excellent written communication Strategic and analytical thinker, including basic math proficiency and proven problem solving Capable of organizing and effectively managing deadlines Detail oriented Proficient with MS Office and demonstrated implementation of other proprietary systems/applications Nominal travel may be required Education Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) required - prefer degrees in English, Accounting, Business, Risk Management, Insurance or Technical Writing, but open to all majors Advanced degree or industry-related professional designation desired, but not required We support our colleagues! Pay Transparency Laws: The salary range for this position is $67,900 to $90,500 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted to reflect applicant's geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
