As the Sourcing Analytics Manager at Toro, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging data to drive strategic decision-making for the Supply Management team. Reporting to the Director of Supplier Excellence, and working closely with the Enterprise IT group, you will lead a team responsible for supporting Power BI applications to provide actionable insights associated with pricing, spend, supplier quality, supplier performance and other Sourcing KPI’s.

Work Location:

This opportunity is based out of Bloomington, MN international headquarters. Candidates should prepare for a hybrid schedule, that includes 3-days on-site.

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for leading both a US based and international team of BI developers to support the following critical Supply Management needs:

  • Power BI Application Development : Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Power BI applications tailored to meet the analytical needs of various Supply Management groups within Toro.

  • Spend Management & Pricing Tools: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze cost data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to support cost optimization initiatives and strategic decision-making.

  • Team Leadership and Development: Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the data analytics team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to enhance technical skills and professional growth.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand business requirements, gather insights, and communicate analytical findings in a clear and concise manner.

  • Data Governance and Quality Assurance: Work closely with enterprise analytics & IT to establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data utilized in Power BI dashboards and reports.

  • User Support and Training: Provide technical support and training to end-users on how to effectively utilize Power BI applications, empowering them to extract meaningful insights from data.

  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor the performance of Power BI applications, identify areas for optimization, and implement enhancements to improve usability, performance, and scalability.

  • Data Integration and Automation: Lead efforts to integrate data from various sources into Power BI applications, leveraging enterprise automation tools and techniques to streamline data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

  • Experience working with a matrix organization, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Bachelor's degree Information Systems, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in developing and managing Power BI applications, including data modeling, visualization design, and DAX calculations.

  • Experience with SAP is preferred but not required.

  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, and best practices for ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

  • Proficiency in SQL, Snowflake, Python, or other programming languages for data manipulation and analysis.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Prior experience in a leadership or managerial role is preferred.

Other Job Dimensions:

  • Typical office environment as it pertains to lighting, temperature, and noise level when in administrative / operations offices.

  • Traditional office working conditions, hybrid schedule.

  • Travel less than 5% of total hours. May require international travel periodically to support overseas data analytics team.
