Hunt Electric Corporation ECSI AV Sales Engineer in Bloomington, Minnesota

Role and Responsibilities: The AV Sales Engineer will be responsible for designing and quoting audiovisual (AV) systems for commercial and residential projects. This individual will work closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver innovative AV solutions that meet both technical and budgetary requirements. In addition to technical design, the AV Sales Engineer will support the sales team by providing expertise during client meetings, presentations, and throughout the sales process. Design & Engineering: - Develop custom AV system designs based on client requirements, utilizing CAD/Revit to create layouts and documentation. - Specify AV equipment, cabling, and other materials required for project completion. - Ensure designs meet industry standards and client expectations for functionality and performance. Quoting & Estimating: - Prepare accurate and competitive project quotes, including labor, materials, and equipment costs. - Work with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best pricing for AV products and services. Sales Support: - Attend client meetings to discuss AV solutions and provide technical expertise. - Assist the sales team with presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Project Oversight: - Collaborate with project managers to ensure the successful implementation of AV designs. - Provide technical support during project execution and address any design-related issues. Industry Knowledge: - Stay updated on the latest AV technologies, industry trends, and best practices. - Participate in training programs and trade shows as necessary. Qualifications and Education Requirements: - Proven experience in AV design and sales. - Strong understanding of AV system components, integration, and industry standards. - Proficiency in CAD, Revit, or other design software. - Excellent communication and presentation skills. - Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team. - Experience in both commercial and residential AV system design. - Knowledge of control systems, video conferencing, sound systems, and digital signage. - Familiarity with industry certifications (e.g., CTS, CTS-D).
