Cook Medical Marketing Automation Intern in Bloomington, Indiana

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Automation Intern to join our dynamic digital marketing team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing automation, digital marketing strategies, and data analysis. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about marketing technology and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment. This position is a 12-week paid internship. It is offered for a period extending from mid-May through mid-August (exact dates depend on school calendars.) This position includes 401(k) options, an assigned mentor, capstone presentation, and intern events. All internships provide hands-on experience with meaningful projects in the Medical Device Manufacturing Industry.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the setup, testing, and execution of marketing automation campaigns across various platforms (e.g., email, social media, web).

  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.

  • Help maintain and update the marketing database to ensure data accuracy and compliance.

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions for new campaign ideas and strategies.

  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for campaign improvement.

  • Assist with administrative tasks related to the marketing automation platform.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Computer science, or a related field.

  • Basic understanding of marketing principles and digital marketing strategies.

  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Mailchimp) is a plus.

  • Familiarity with customer relationship management tools (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Google Workspace.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.

  • All candidates should have an interest in a career in the Life Sciences field, a willingness to take initiative, and an ability to work well with others.

  • Candidates should be students entering their Junior or Senior year the following fall semester or entering graduate school; candidates who graduate the spring semester before this internship are also eligible.

  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.

  • All candidates must provide proof of enrollment (including pre-registration certification for the following fall) for consideration.
