Overview

The Incoming Quality Control Manager manages day-to-day operations and provides leadership and direction to the functional team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all Quality Control procedures are understood and followed by staff on daily basis.
• Review, update and approve change requests.
• Follow-up on progress for various projects and tasks to ensure overall objectives and timelines are met.
• Provide daily updates to leadership. Express facts and ideas in a clear, convincing and organized manner.
• Manage and acquire adequate equipment and materials for the running of the department on daily basis.
• Responsible for performance management and reviews of direct reports.
• Participate in hiring, interviewing and onboarding process of new hires.
• Authorization of weekly time sheets.
• Attend, present and provide data for meetings to include project updates and reviews.
• Ability to maintain confidential information
• Must maintain all training requirements for the position, while seeking out opportunities for continuous development and growth.
• Adhere to the Quality Management System and its processes to meet FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, and other applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or experience of such kind and amount as to provide a comparable background.
• Experience in a regulated industry, preferably in a medical manufacturing environment.
• Management experience preferred.

• Ability to understand the overall and detailed functions of a business software application.

• Occasional travel may be required to other Cook locations, as necessary.

• Frequent lifting with minimal exertion majority of shift.
• Utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers and equipment.
• Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, and communicate.
• Personal protective equipment including safety glasses, lab coat and gloves required in some areas associated with this position.
