Executes all activities leading to a bid submission

Reports to President

Bid Preparation

• Perform quantity take-offs to produce accurate bid quantities for bid submissions.

• Use templated project formats in estimation software to populate all cost estimations for new bids.

• Maintain bid proposal template with accurate client information, appendix documents, terms and conditions, and other information pertaining to each bid.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for mining and earthwork projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.

• Coordinate with various departments (operations, finance, asset management, human resources) to gather all necessary information for bid preparation

• Identify potential risks associated with each bid and develop mitigation strategies to address these risks.

• Perform competitive analysis through market research.

Documentation

• Ensure that all bid documents comply with client specifications.

• Maintain detailed records of all bids submitted, including assumptions, methodologies, and decision-making processes.

• Prepare and present cost estimates to Operational Leadership Team, highlighting key aspects and differentiators of Turner Mining Group's proposals

• Prepare all bid information for formal Operations handoff including: initial project schedule, financial forecast, project budget, and all other bid information as part of the pre-construction guide.

Continuous Improvement

• Participate in post-bid reviews to analyze the success of submitted bids and identify areas for improvement.

• Implement feedback and lessons learned to enhance future bid proposals and processes.

• Identify new business opportunities and potential markets to pursue through strategic bidding.
