Position: Industrial Painter

Reports To: Shop Foreman/Superintendent

Location: Bloomfield, NM

Schedule: 5 days per week, 10 hrs per day

Position Overview:

An Industrial Painter’s primary duties consist of sandblasting, applying coating chemicals or paint to the surface of various products. Responsibilities include maintaining and calibrating the equipment, such as a spray gun and other painting tools, and following all directions from designers and clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Strict adherence to all safety protocols, including maintaining a clean-shaven face to ensure proper respirator fit

• Preparation of surfaces for painting, involving the removal of grease, dirt, welding remnants, and filling of cavities and dents; sanding and the application of masking, paper, and other protective materials to areas not intended for coating

• Proficiency in the mixing and application of paint

• Proper utilization of paint equipment and configuration of settings

• Routine maintenance of paint equipment and booth

• Conducting quality checks to ensure optimal results

• Maintaining a neat and organized work environment

• Ability to pass a pulmonary function test

  Skills and Qualifications:

• 3 years experience preferred

• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues

• Proficiency in mechanical assembly

• Prior experience in packaging

• Physical fitness to meet job requirements

• Background in a manufacturing/industrial setting

• Must be 18 years of age or older
