Technology Development Program (TECDP) Full Time Associate

The program’s mission is to support the professional and personal development needs of early career technology associates, as well as encourage the growth of their technical knowledge through rotational assignments.

TECDP allows associates to further develop and refine technical and business skills, as well as leadership competencies aligned with the goal of developing well-rounded professionals. Program associates begin to shape their career paths through their program experiences and are supported by their class program manager, assigned role manager, program “buddy”, peers, and mentors.

Associates can focus on the development of generalist and technical competencies, or a combination of the two throughout the 3-3.5 year program. The program also offers technical and non-technical skills training, networking opportunities, formal mentoring, and exposure to a breadth of our technologies. Program rotations are typically 12 months in length and span across The Cigna Group.

Opportunities include, but are not limited to:

  • Application Developer/Software Developer/Software Engineer

  • Infrastructure/Cloud/Network Engineer

  • Machine Learning/AI

  • Systems/Data/Business Analyst

  • Information Protection Specialist

  • Architecture Specialist

  • Scrum Master/Project Manager/Product Owner/Release Train Engineer

What you’ll do:

  • Role work: Spend 80% of your time working on a technology-oriented agile team supporting the development of technical solutions.

  • TECDP time: Commit 20% of your time to one or more of seven committees, including Recruiting, Innovations, Diversity Equity & Inclusion, Development, Engagement, Onboarding, and Branding. Committee initiatives can range from hosting philanthropic or networking events to creating innovative technical tools and platforms used within the program.

  • Community: Build relationships and connect with our cross-functional partners, team members, and other associates.

Qualifications:

  • Full time candidates must have completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical program at the time of hire (no later than June 2025). Preferred degrees include, but are not limited to, Computer Science, Computer Science and Engineering, and Software Engineering. Degrees related to business technology disciplines such as Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, and Business Information Systems may be considered based on the depth of technical background/experience.

  • All candidates require working knowledge of programming basics.

  • 3.3 or greater overall GPA preferred.

Additional Information:

  • Location: All program roles have the expectation for greater than 50% of their workweek to be in the office. Work location opportunities may exist at our following locations:

Bloomfield, CT | St. Louis, MO l Philadelphia, PA | Denver, CO | Morris Plains, NJ l Nashville/Franklin, TN | Bloomington, MN | Austin, TX

  • Schedule: You must be available to work a 40-hour work week beginning February 10, 2025 (December 2024 graduates) or July 14, 2025 (May 2025 graduates). Working days are Monday – Friday.

  • Work Authorization: This position is open only to individuals who are eligible for employment in the United States and who would not require visa support including H-1B or CPT/OPT/STEM, etc., now or in the future.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 67,500 - 112,500 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
