Seeking 10 Temp/FT positions in the following counties: North Dakota: Burleigh, McLean, Mercer, Morton, Stark, Emmons, Kidder | Job Duties: Construction laborers perform a wide range of tasks to support the construction process and ensure that projects are completed efficiently and safely. Their daily duties typically involve physical labor and can vary depending on the specific construction site and project. Here is a description of some common tasks performed by construction laborers: Site Preparation: Construction laborers help prepare construction sites by clearing debris, removing obstacles, and setting up safety barriers and signs. They may also assist in the excavation and grading of the land and place barriers to prevent erosion. Material Handling: Laborers are responsible for transporting construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from the work area. This may involve loading and unloading materials, operating forklifts, or other machinery, and organizing the materials on site. Installation of Seasonal Decorations: Depending on the location and client preferences, winter construction may involve the installation of seasonal decorations like holiday lights, wreaths, or garlands. Laborers may be responsible for safely installing and maintaining these decorations. Demolition: In cases where existing structures need to be demolished, construction laborers assist in tearing down and removing materials. This may involve using hand tools, power tools, or heavy machinery to safely dismantle structures and dispose of debris. Hardscape Installation: Construction laborers assist in the construction of hardscape elements such as pathways, patios, retaining walls, and fences. They may help with measuring and marking the layout, mixing, and pouring concrete, and laying pavers or stones. Snow Removal: One of the primary responsibilities during winter is to remove snow from driveways, pathways, and outdoor areas. Assisting Skilled Workers: Laborers provide support to skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, electricians, landscapers, and plumbers. Cleaning and Maintenance: Construction laborers are responsible for keeping the work area clean and organized. This includes sweeping, removing trash and debris, and ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored at the end of the day. It's important to note that the specific duties of construction laborers can vary based on the type of construction project, such as residential, commercial, or industrial, as well as the stage of construction they are involved in, such as initial site preparation or final cleanup. Starting wage $24.05 p/hr. to $24.25 p/hr. Poss. Background Check, Poss. E-Verify, poss. Drug Screening, all post hire. Poss. OT starting from $36.08 p/hr. to $36.38 p/hr. A single workweek is used to compute wages due, paid weekly. Poss. raises, bonuses, or incentives dependent on tenure w/company, experience, or job performance. All deductions from the workers' paycheck required by law will be made. Employer will provide workers at n/c all tools, supplies, and equip. required to perform the job. Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa and border crossing fees,in-bound transportation, daily subsistence and hotel costs from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer to employer's place of business. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costs of return transportation and daily subsistence to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment w/another employer. The employer is responsible for paying inbound transportation costs in the first workweek of employment to the extent that shifting such costs to the employees (either directly or indirectly) would effectively not bring the workers' wages below the FLSA minimum wage. Employer will provide or pay for charter bus services or other modes of transportation to groups of H-2B or U.S. workers or will permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and reimburse workers at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distances involved. The remainder of inbound transportation, meals, and hotel expenses to be reimbursed to the worker at the 50% point of the contract. As per FLSA requirements, daily meal subsistence is paid. Outbound transportation and subsistence will be provided/paid by the employer where the worker completes the work contract period, or is terminated without cause, and no subsequent H-2B employment is available. Employer will provide or pay for charter bus services or other modes of transportation to groups of H-2B or U.S. workers or will permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and reimburse workers at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distances involved at the end of the contract or worker termination date. Housing: Employer will provide workers with optional housing at the monthly rental rate of $375.00. Other deductions from employees pay: All deductions required by law will be deducted from workers' pay. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 p/day during travel to a max of $59.00 per day with receipts.
