M&T Bank GCM Client Administrator II in Birmingham, Michigan

Overview:

Responsible for the administration of routine corporate accounts involving trusts. Includes distribution of client correspondence and client contact, at the direction of manager. Daily contact with Trust clients to answer general inquiries or facilitate client requests. Process all transactions to include collection of critical documents, processing of cash disbursements, trades, account balances, establishing new accounts, facilitating client requests for discretionary distributions, trust terminations, etc., to ensure proper administrative management.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the daily sorting, scanning and distribution of client correspondence.

  • Prepare accurate and timely paperwork for daily transaction and maintenance requirements of client accounts.

  • Verify account activity on a regularly determined basis.

  • Foster client relationships.

  • Proactively discuss with client team opportunities to rectify and/or enhance the client’s relationship with the company.

  • Demonstrate the ability to interpret basic trust and/or investment information in order to prepare client communications.

  • Provide support for Relationship Managers by managing telephone calls, sorting and delivering mail and maintaining supplies.

  • Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies.

  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.

  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Scope of Responsibilities:

Direct contact with clients, internal resources and external (i.e. clients/customers, investment professionals, attorneys, accountants, etc.) professionals/businesses in support of the client relationship. Support the efforts of a variety of professionals to include any/all Relationship Managers, unit managers and supervisors, to name a few. Work within a team environment that requires not only individual focus but actions that support the group as a whole. Ability to work on multiple tasks under supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience Required:

Combined minimum of 4 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 1 year relevant work experience with direct client contact

Strong focus on customer service and satisfaction

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Education and Experience Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree focused on Finance, Business, Economics or Accounting and a minimum of 1 year relevant work experience with direct client contact

CCTS (Certified Corporate Trust Specialist) certification if corporate trust focus

Strong skills in pertinent software applications, with ability to learn new applications

Experience working in a team environment

Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build significant level of trust with clients

Self-confident

Proven ability to work well with highly capable and successful individuals

Strong analytical ability

Demonstrated ability to develop strong working relationships with administrative support areas appropriate to the business unit

Experience contributing to positive working relationships and maintaining integrity and professionalism

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $20.94 - $34.91 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
