Discover Impactful Work:

As a member of the Finance Leadership Team you will develop a strong Partnering Relationship with the Operations team and Leadership members and take ownership and responsibility for all Operations Finance matters including reporting, process improvements, efficiency drives and team management.

HYBRID BIRMINGHAM BASE

A day in the Life:

• Business Partner to the Operations team including support of Corporate targets including Scrap & Inventory holdings

• Partner with PPI team and support in achievement of their goals

• Ownership of AOP end to end

• Responsibility for monthly and quarterly KPIs and Corporate reporting

• Ownership of the Operations Finance function and reporting into Finance Director.

• Provide support and input at key operations meetings.

• Team management

• Issue resolution

• Align to Thermo Fisher standard process & optimise COGS set up

• Accounting policy alignments

• Thought leadership on financial impact of key projects

• Input in annual Budget process

• Internal and external audit queries

• Stocktake

Keys to Success

Education

• University Degree

• Accounting qualification, ACCA, ACA or CIMA

Experience

7+ years of meaningful experience required, including 5 years of manufacturing experience, and/or pharmaceutical experience is strongly preferred. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Effective communication across all levels of the organization.

• Ability to work cross-functionally with individuals and teams developing strong relationships.

• Focus on continuous improvement and have experience optimizing processes.

• Balance multiple projects and implement them timely and efficiently.

• Individual must possess high level of integrity and ethics, strong eye for business, and well-developed analytical skills.
