The Senior Accountant furthers the company's goals through the preparation and consolidation of financial statements, the analysis and reconciliations of accounts, and the analysis of cash flow, as well as the creation of budgets and forecasts, preparation of audits, and management of internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. To succeed in this role, you must be proficient at analyzing information. This position is full time with excellent compensation and benefits, as well as the chance to grow.
Responsibilities
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

Requirements - Notable analytical, quantitative and social skills
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued
Expertise in journal entries
Experience with Microsoft Great Plains Accounting
Adeptness in Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics
Comprehensive knowledge of month end closings
Great Plains (GPAC) experience preferred
General ledger experience
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Able to manage time well
Current and relevant ERP system experience
Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired
SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
