Description:

Aramark Facilities is seeking qualified candidates for the position of On-Boarding and Training Manager for the Children's Hospital of Alabama in Birmingham, AL. This position will report to the General Manager and includes assisting in the completion of all environmental services, complying with the standards established by Aramark facilities, regulatory agencies and client. The On-Boarding and Training Manager will be responsible for all new hire on-boarding and ensure that Aramark training is within compliance. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified approach to patient/resident care.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide all general support of Training and HR functions at the Account for Aramark operations.

  • Identify best practices and organizational efficiencies, as well as coach and train Ops managers/Supervisors to properly apply client human resource policies and procedures within the various units.

  • Work closely with the Director’s to drive elements of the Talent Management Strategy (Talent Acquisition, On boarding, Performance Management, Development, Succession Planning and Retention).

  • Manage the process and implementation of the following: exempt level staffing, recruitment and scheduling of hourly front line employees, training and development of front line and management employees, client employee relations, coaching and counseling, retention and incentive programs, payroll, benefits, compliance and safety training.

  • Maintains compliance with ARAMARK’s standards of operation, client and within ARAMARK’s Business Conduct Policy

  • Responds to the requests of department managers and directors.

  • Maintains all records and reports necessary to regulations and codes.

  • Community Event participation

  • Overview of all corrective actions with client HR department

  • Quarterly Client Business review support

  • Requires management and leadership skills and ability to work with confidential employee, client and ARAMARK information.

  • Responsible for employee hiring and terminations. Identifies and maintains staffing requirements and work schedules.

  • Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) effectively with clients, customers of the client and support staff.

  • Filing as applicable

  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in Training and/ or Human Resource Management role. Food service, hotel or facility experience in operations is strongly preferred.

  • Candidate must be willing to be hands on with staff and operations.

  • Excellent phone etiquette

  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
