$25/hr - $30/hr

The Communications Analyst implements, maintains and troubleshoots CISCO Communications systems for all locations, This position provides integration and consulting services to all internal departments and systems. The Communications Analyst ensures maximum network availability for over 600 locations by monitoring and troubleshooting a significant number of data circuits.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience with Fortinet and Cisco routing and switching architectures.

  • Strong knowledge of telecommunications carrier terminology and technology, and experience troubleshooting network performance issues.• Advanced knowledge of network technologies, connectivity and protocols.• Experience resolving circuit issues across multiple telecommunications vendors.• Ability to communicate effectively with telecommunications vendors and end users.

  • WAN/LAN troubleshooting skills are required and implementation skills are nice to have.

  • Strong network management and documentation skills.

  • Microsoft Office fluency (Visio, Excel, Word, etc).

  • Knowledge of Cleo VLTrader administration (Enterprise file transfer and AS/2) is preferred.

  • Cisco VoIP – CUCM, CUC, CUPS, etc.

  • Cisco Wireless LAN.

  • Cisco Security - ISE, ASA, FirePOWER, etc.

  • Network Management Platform – Cisco Prime Infrastructure, WLC, NetFlow, Nagios

What You Will Be Doing

Daily Responsibilities

  • Acts as liaison between intercompany IT departments that span east coast to west coast time zones.

  • Handles multiple tickets in a fast-paced environment.

  • Assists with opening tickets and identifying appropriate parties to support operations after normal US hours of operation.

  • Monitors, reports, and manages capacity for data communications.

  • Monitors and maintains network management and file transfer tools.

  • Provides second level data communication support & problem resolution.

  • Provides data communication architecture planning and implementation.

  • Assists and provides backup for Voice Communications Analysts with voice/data integration.

  • Implements and maintains site-to-site VPN.

  • Evaluates communications related hardware and software.

  • Creates and maintains technical documentation, diagrams, and business recovery procedures.

  • Reviews, audits, and ensures the accuracy of all communications invoices

  • Provides project management for communications implementations.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
