Position Title: Mainframe Logging and Reporting Analyst (Level 4)

Position Location: Birmingham, AL or Pittsburgh, Strongsville, Cleveland, can be worked remote

Position Duration: 6 Months

Industry background:

Financial services background much preferred, audit, logging experience welcomed.

This is a Level 4, Mainframe Logging and Reporting Analyst.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Mainframe Logging: Efficiently navigate and operate within mainframe systems to access and analyze logs generated by various applications and processes.

• Job Control Language (JCL) Expertise: Proficiency in writing, editing, and debugging JCL for report job submission and management, ensuring smooth execution and accurate reporting.

• ACF2 Experience: Utilize basic ACF2 knowledge to review logs, identify anomalies, and troubleshoot issues effectively.

• Business and Technical Analysis: Perform both business and technical analysis on log data to extract meaningful insights, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.

• Audit Skills: Demonstrate strong audit skills to ensure compliance with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in logging and reporting procedures.

Must Have Technical Skills:

• Proven experience working with mainframe systems and green screen 3270 interfaces.

• Expertise in Job Control Language (JCL) for report job submission and management.

• Basic knowledge of ACF2 for log review and analysis.

• Strong business and technical analysis skills to interpret log data effectively.

Flex Skills/Nice to Have:

Previous experience in auditing/logging-related roles is highly desirable.

Soft Skills:

Attention to detail, communication, problem solving, ability to work independently.

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey insights to stakeholders.
