Description

We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for an accomplished Accounting Manager to join our team in Birmingham, Alabama. This role primarily involves overseeing our accounting functions, managing accounts payable, and conducting audits. You will be working with QuickBooks software.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable and auditing

• Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met

• Prepare financial management reports and present findings and recommendations to top management

• Liaise with auditors to ensure annual audits are carried out

• Train the accounting team on business processes and accounting policies to maintain financial health of the organization.

Requirements

• Proficiency in performing all Accounting Functions

• Expertise in handling Accounts Payable (AP)

• Proven experience in Auditing procedures

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and data analysis

• Ability to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used

• A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
