Job Summary

The Market Insights team is responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing custom quantitative and qualitative consumer research studies that address strategic business questions and support key initiatives of Altice USA.

The Market Insights Senior Research Analyst reports to the Senior Director of Market Insights and supports the day-to-day management of primary consumer research projects and analysis. They will work closely with the Senior Director to take primary research studies from inception to successful completion with strict adherence to established processes and guidelines that promote flawless research execution. Candidates should have a deep understanding, competency, and enjoyment of managing the operational aspects needed to execute custom research studies from start to finish.

Responsibilities

Responsible for all operational aspects and project management of in-house primary custom research for Altice USA including assisting with questionnaire development, advanced survey programming, sample plans, quota management, field and incentive management, data cleansing, weighting, data processing, tabulation, and handles day to day survey platform management, ensures adherence to project timelines and provides oversight of end-to-end research process. Supports Senior Director in data tabulation, analysis and report preparation for all in-house custom research


Manages 3rd party vendors on purchasing panel sample (RFP), managing field while staying within budget.

Proactively integrates internal data sources to enhance analysis and insights.

Supports Senior Director with vendor contract renewals, RFP's and budgeting of vendor support hours and ad-hoc services.

Qualifications

4 -6 years experience in primary research, preferably at a custom full-service quantitative research supplier
Minimum Education: Bachelors Degree, preferably in research or analytics-based disciplines such as social sciences and/or data science
Demonstrated ability to manage numerous projects autonomously, problem solve, and display high levels of attention to detail
Some experience with writing survey questions and drafting questionnaires that meet the study objectives according to the research plan.
Familiarity with programming and survey link testing using survey programming tools (Qualtrics preferred) and an understanding of how to transfer questionnaire designs to an online programming platform
Supporting the research team by helping to analyze data and provide assistance with searching for the story.
Help draft reports, post data, create new charts & graphs, etc. that address the business questions and objectives.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint a must.
Proficiency in creating tab & banner plans and/or working with data tabulation software (Marketsight preferred or other similar platform like Q, Tableau, Google Cloud Platform, etc.).
*Expertise in using data tabs to analyze and post data.
SPSS experience is a plus (or some use of other statistical software like Python, R, SQL, etc.)
Some familiarity with various quantitative research techniques (Concept Testing, Conjoint, Max-Diff, Tracking Studies, etc.)
Some experience analyzing unstructured data (eg.text analytics, sentiment analysis, content coding)
Candidate must be energetic, a multi-tasker and results driven.
Curiosity and desire to learn and work in a collaborative, team environment.
Experience in telecommunications or media industries (Internet, Mobile, TV, Streaming services) is a plus.

Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law.Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $77,112.00-$126,684.00/ year. The rate/Range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
