Job Summary

The Manager, Income Tax position contributes to the success of Altice USA Inc. by supporting income tax accounting, compliance, research and audit management. This role is expected to be proficient in federal, state and local income taxation with regard to both income tax compliance and accounting.

Responsibilities
  • Prepares and/or reviews income tax returns (Federal, State and Local)
  • Prepares income tax provision analyses related to quarterly income tax accounting requirements
  • Prepares and/or reviews income tax calculations, including supporting workpapers
  • Ownership of specific income tax processes through the compliance and audit phases of tax life cycle. Contributes analysis throughout the planning/forecasting and income tax accounting phases
  • In connection with income tax audits, evaluates the merits of the tax positions presented by tax authorities and their proposed audit adjustments
  • Analyzes income tax models and forecasts for changes in tax laws
  • Assists development of tax research and positions; clearly documents and communicates findings
  • Assists development and improve processes needed to support income tax reporting
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting
  • Certified public accountant preferred
  • Master in taxation or JD with LLM in tax preferred
  • Recent income tax experience in public accounting or large public company (5-7 years)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate technical tax information to both tax and non-tax personnel
  • Proficient in income tax accounting (ASC 740)
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of accounting systems and processes
  • Proficient with tax reporting software (OneSource)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; organized and attentive to details; ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Working knowledge of internal controls #LI-CH1

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $102,816.00-$168,912.00/year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
