St. Luke's University Health Network School of Nursing Student Recruitment Liaison in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

The School of Nursing Student Recruitment Liaison is responsible for supporting the overall recruitment process in the School of Nursing. Reviews applications, answering questions via phone and email, coordination, and attendance at Recruitment events, assisting with the onboarding process, reviewing, and entering reference and background checks, assisting with admission testing, tours, orientation, promotion and graduation ceremonies at the School of Nursing.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Represents the School in responding to prospective student inquiries received by telephone, online, in writing or from walk-ins for the diploma program

  • Provides accurate information to student inquiries and directs inquiries to the appropriate person for detailed information

  • Provides written correspondence (letters and forms) to prospective students throughout the admission process

  • Creates, maintains, and secures student admission records

  • Helps coordinate "New Student" Orientation including preparation, printing and distribution of the Orientation Booklet

  • Organizes and schedules student recruitment activities in the community, including Open House events and high school visits

  • Schedules applicant for interviews, which may include those coming in from out of town

  • Works with applicant on completing required documents

  • Prepares and sends offer letters, rejection letters or other correspondence

  • Works in cooperation with personnel from other Network campuses on various recruitment related projects/issues.

  • Maintains confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network/ Entity as well as the proper release of information.

  • Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding issues of employee, patient and environmental safety and follows appropriate reporting requirements.

  • Demonstrates/models the Network’s Service Excellence Standards of Performance interactions with all customers (internal and external).

  • Demonstrates Performance Improvement in the following areas as appropriate: Clinical Care/Outcomes, Customer/Service Improvement, Operational System/Process, and Safety.

  • Demonstrates financial responsibility and accountability through the effective and efficient use of resources in daily procedures, processes and practices.

  • Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code.

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Sitting up to 7 hours per day, 1 hour at a time. Standing/walking up to 1 hour per day, 15 minutes at a time. Frequently uses fingers/hands for typing, computer entry, etc. Twisting and turning of hands occasionally. Occasionally carries, pushes, or pulls an object of up to 25 lbs. Occasionally stoops, bends, kneels, climbs and reaches above shoulder level. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation. Seeing as it relates to general and near vision.

EDUCATION:

College degree preferred. Will consider experience in lieu of degree.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE :

Minimum of 1- 2 years customer service/admission/recruitment experience required. Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Access, Excel and Power Point, Desktop Publications. Must have knowledge and skill in electronic information systems, data processing, data retrieval, and data manipulation. Proven ability to multi-task and ability to work in an environment where priorities may change daily. Positive, upbeat, critical thinker, where accuracy is demanded.

Work Schedule:

Primarily Day shift, 40 hours/week with varying hours based on the needs of the department. Must be available for occasional travel and evening/weekend events, testing and applicant interviews.
