Guardian Life Life and Disability Insurance Relationship Manager in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

As an Individual Markets Inforce Life and Disability Insurance Relationship Manager, you are at the heart of the business responsible for handling financial and non-financial transactions and policy changes in compliance with regulatory and business requirements. As a member of our CARE Team, you are a part of a dynamic group focused on achieving team goals and identifying ways to improve the consumer experience. As a Relationship Manager, you’re a primary contact to our consumers including agency office staff members, agents, elite agents, and policyholders. You’ll be skilled to triage escalations and complex requests; identify, analyze, and remedy system and process issues; and serve as a subject matter expert and leverage knowledge of products and processes to solve complex problems to deliver an exceptional service experience.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and empowered to take ownership and accountability for each consumer interaction and knowledgeable on Inforce requests, requirements and processes including payments, policy changes and disbursements for multiple lines of business, and with understanding operational and fraud controls and their importance in mitigating risk and achieving business goals. It’s paramount that you can show empathy and put the customer first when handling work, be a leader to colleagues, contribute new ideas for positive change, and desire to stretch to build the skills needed for further job advancement and career plans.

You have

  • 2+ years’ experience in financial service industry and high touch customer service operation

  • Proficiency in knowing a variety of business processes across product lines

  • Skill for a consumer-centric mindset; you know what it takes to deliver exceptional Wow experiences

  • Exceptional and proactive written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient communication with consumers via various ways (e.g., email, phone, chat)

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail across a variety of assignments

  • Strong proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Word, and creating Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations preferred.

Location

The primary location for this position is our Bethlehem, PA or Pittsfield, MA office location with 3 days a week onsite required.

Salary Range:

$57,810.00 - $86,715.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
