POSITION SUMMARY
The Social Media Specialist plays an important role in developing and enhancing the social media presence of our United States and Canadian business units. This role is responsible for the strategy, execution, and daily management of our portfolio of social platforms. This includes engaging and growing our followers, influencers, customers, and media to continue building our brand presence..
This individual continuously tests new ideas through the development and promotion of interactive and engaging content; developing content, copy and strategy is essential for this role. Additionally, the Social Media Specialist serves as a LATICRETE brand ambassador by interacting with and forming relationships with our customers and partners on brand channels, and industry-focused groups and forums.
As a member of the Marketing Communications team, this role works closely with the Digital Marketing Manager and coordinates with the entire Marketing team. This role is essential in ensuring alignment with brand messaging, product strategy, audience interests, and platform-specific best practices to maximize engagement and reach.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Social Media Content & Paid Ad Development, Scheduling & Promotion (35%)
Collaborates with Manager, Digital Marketing on the creation of social media content calendar (organic and paid marketing campaigns) for: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
Responsible for the social media marketing content calendar. Schedules and manages social media content utilizing Sprout Social scheduling tool as well as Monday.com planning tool.
Develops content and creates clear calls-to-action that facilitates engagements for both organic and paid campaigns across all product line segments.
Crafts compelling post and ad copy that aligns with the company's voice, objectives, and target audiences.
Researches social media trends and analyzes metrics to optimize the social media post creation process. Assists with creation, selection and assembly of images and graphics for social media posts. Coordinates with Manager of Creative Services & Graphic Design to ensure content is consistent with Global Brand Identity guidelines.
Produces compelling social media video content by repurposing existing footage.
Coordinates and provides direction to Graphic Designers/Videographers for the development of social media-specific assets as needed.
Develops, implements, and manages paid social media campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn using Meta Ads Manager and LinkedIn Campaign Manager. Responsibilities include setting campaign priorities, determining and managing budgets, conducting A/B testing, researching new target audiences, and tracking and reporting on key performance metrics.
Uploads and assists in optimizing YouTube video content.
Social Customer Service & Community Management (25%)
Oversees social customer service for brand pages, and company-owned Facebook groups in the United States and Canada, in collaboration with the dedicated Technical Services Representative.
Admin of LATICRETE Inside Track Facebook group (5,000+ member industry group) and other LATICRETE-owned groups as assigned. Responsibilities include: social customer service, content sharing, contest development/execution, and additional group management duties.
Works with Technical Services Representative as needed to monitor/participate in industry Facebook groups to answer questions regarding LATICRETE products and services. Consults with Marketing Communications and Product Management as needed to ensure responses are accurate and aligned with company messaging.
Analytics & Reporting (20%)
Utilize Sprout Social and social channels to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and competitive intel.
Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports around competitive intel, organic and paid ad KPIs, key campaigns, customer service, and other relevant analytics, and effectively communicate insights and findings to relevant internal teams.
Social lead distribution, tracking, and reporting through Salesforce Customer Relationship Management platform.
Strategy Development (20%)
Support the development of strategies to grow social media channels, followers, and engagement, and execute these growth initiatives effectively.
Responsible for developing and executing effective social media campaigns to drive awareness, engagement, and manage the brand reputation.
Works closely with internal teams to develop and execute a social media component for strategic company campaigns, ensuring alignment with overall campaign goals.
Research and review new trends, ideate new campaigns, and look for new opportunities. Includes providing strategic recommendations to enhance the brand’s social media presence and effectiveness.
Conduct competitor analysis and brand studies in order to identify growth opportunities in the space, creating competitive reviews and situational analyses. Review and benchmark key competitors as well as parallel industry references.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in the Marketing, Communications, or applicable field is required.
Specialized Skills and Experience:
5+ years of experience in digital marketing, particularly in. developing and executing social media strategies, growth development, community management and social customer service. Required channels: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok.
Experience or knowledge of design, architecture, construction, or other related industrial or manufacturing industry is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience using Meta Ads Manager.
Proven track record in social community management and customer service.
Strong writing, editing, and analytical skills; attention to detail is a must.
Organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment with the ability to pivot and adapt as needed.
Experience with social media monitoring and scheduling tools.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven track record of working with diverse teams and functions; ability to handle projects involving a cross-functional team.
Required Computer Skills: thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Sprout Social or equivalent social scheduling/monitoring tool.
Preferred Computer Skills: Monday.com or equivalent project management software, AI tools like OpusClip and ChatGTP, Salesforce or other CRM, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva. Special consideration will be given to those with video editing experience.
Fluency in English required, fluency in Spanish a plus.
