AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Lead Frontend Development: Guide the design, implementation, and optimization of responsive and accessible user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks and libraries.

  2. Establish Frontend Architecture: Drive the development of reusable and modular UI components, adhering to best practices and design systems.

  3. Performance and Quality Excellence: Ensure optimal performance by implementing efficient rendering techniques, code splitting, and other performance optimization strategies. Contribute to establishing and maintaining high-quality standards for the frontend codebase through testing, code reviews, and best practices.

  4. Collaboration and Mentorship: Collaborate closely with designers, backend engineers, and product teams to understand requirements and translate them into seamless user experiences. Share knowledge across the organization through tech talks and mentoring other frontend developers.

You'll work with the team responsible for PartyRock, where we use AI to reimagine the builder experience of our customers. Here, we welcome experienced frontend developers to contribute to creating intuitive, code-friendly interfaces that empower people to build applications without coding.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node

  • Experience using JavaScript frameworks and the latest Web Standards

  • Experience in computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with WASM, WebGPU

  • Experience building reusable UX components or libraries

  • Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
