Description

Are you a passionate frontend developer with a knack for building intuitive user experiences? Join our diverse and supportive team as we reimagine application development using the latest Amazon AI services and GenAI technologies.

We're looking for talented folks to create innovative, code-free ways for people of all backgrounds to build apps. If you love exploring new technologies, writing clean and maintainable code, and pushing the boundaries of frontend development, this is the perfect opportunity.

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

Key job responsibilities

Frontend Development: Collaborate with the team to design and implement responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces using modern frameworks and libraries.

Innovation: Explore and prototype new frontend technologies and techniques to enhance the user experience and stay ahead of the curve.

Get things shipped: Contribute clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, to an already well maintained and clean codebase; and see it used by our customers the same day.

A day in the life

Ownership & Impact: Our team has full autonomy to build imaginative customer experiences that shape the future. You'll play a pivotal role in crafting intuitive and engaging user interfaces.

Collaboration: You'll work closely with designers, backend engineers, and AI experts to deliver cohesive and innovative solutions.

Flexibility: We value work-life balance. Our Berlin-based team works some days in-office others remote in a flexible hybrid setup.

Growth: We invest in every team member's growth by providing mentors and development opportunities. You'll have the chance to learn and grow alongside experienced engineers and AI experts.

Shared Responsibility: This role may involve being on-call on a shared, distributed basis to ensure the resilience of our fault-tolerant systems.

About the team

You would work on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Next Gen Dev Experience (NGDE) team where we are going to use generative AI and foundation models to reimagine the experience of all builders on AWS. From the IDE to web based tools and services AI will help engineers to work on large and small applications. In this team we have to explore new technologies and find creative solutions. Curiosity and an explorative mindset can find a place to impact the life of engineers around the world.
