What We’re Doing:

The Cloud Team Public Sector (CTPS) is responsible for successful positioning of cloud platforms (sovereign to public) to enable complex digitization projects in all segments of Microsoft Germany’s Public Sector: Government, Healthcare & Life Sience, Education, Defense & Intelligence. Our responsibility is to define and implement a Public Sector cloud strategy in market entry, portfolio development and partner management.

As part of the further implementation of the Delos Cloud as a BSI-certified sovereign cloud offering for government clients in the public sector, we are assembling a GTM team that will explicitly handle the introduction of Delos Cloud services in Germany. The position of the Delos Commercial Executive will be organizationally placed in the DE-EC Mgmt & SET area, with functional management carried out in joint coordination with the Cloud Lead Public Sector.

The Commercial Executive (CE) is a sales professional who serves as the lead for driving transformative deal strategies, developing executable options and negotiating pricing/contracts, continually seeking revenue growth opportunities through up-selling and cross selling motions. CE’s are on point to align team members to sell the right solution at the right time and ensure every deal is compliant and profitable for Microsoft.

The Cloud Team Public Sector is looking for a highly motivated individual to develop, manage and maintain strong customer relationships – from Public Cloud to Sovereign (Delos) Cloud. Establish trust and credibility with key decision makers and influencers in the customer organization. Understand the customer’s business goals, challenges and pain points. Provide proactive and timely communication and follow-up on delos related matters. Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty by delivering exceptional service and value.

Core Priorities / Responsibilities :

  • Drive Delos adoption in the market:

Increase the awareness and demand for Delos, the sovereign cloud solution, among potential and existing customers. Achieve the revenue and growth targets for Delos in the assigned territory.

  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships:

Establish trust and credibility with key decision makers and influencers in the customer organization. Understand the customer's business goals, challenges, and pain points. Provide proactive and timely communication and follow-up on Delos-related matters. Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty by delivering exceptional service and value.

  • Be the trusted advisor when it comes to Delos commercial design:

Provide consultative and strategic guidance to customers on how to design and implement Delos solutions that meet their business needs and objectives. Demonstrate the commercial benefits and advantages of Delos over other cloud offerings. Drive the business to the next future level by identifying and pursuing new opportunities and innovations with Delos.

  • Collaboration (cross CE community and cross group, Dealdesk, CELA, STU and Partner):

Work closely with other commercial executives, technical experts, and business partners to deliver the best customer experience and outcomes. Leverage the cross-group resources and capabilities to support the Delos sales cycle and customer journey. Coordinate with the deal desk and partner teams to ensure smooth and efficient contract negotiation and execution.

Qualifications

Qualifications *:  *

  • Completed law degree or comparable legal qualification, ideally with a focus on IT or contract law.

  • Experience in designing and negotiating complex and innovative cloud solutions for clients from various industries and regions.

  • Strong skills in project management, communication, and stakeholder management, to handle multiple deals simultaneously and bring them to closure.

  • Strategic thinker and problem solver with excellent analytical and reporting skills 

  • Team player willing to collaborate with other commercial executives, technical experts, business partners, and internal functions to achieve the best customer experience and results.

  • Sales-oriented, determined, and results-driven, with a strong business sense and high self-motivation.

  • Creative, flexible, and solution-oriented, with the ability to adapt to changing customer needs and market conditions.

  • Senior, confident, and professional, with the ability to build trust and credibility at all levels of the customer organization.

  • Interfaces to be managed in the role internally/externally: DealDesk, Legal, Commercial Executive Team, AccountTeamUnit – PDM, SpecialistTeamUnit - Partner, Customer
