Associate Software Engineer (Hybrid)

Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services BGS, is seeking an Associate Software Engineer in Berkeley, MO . As a full-time Software Engineer, you will support the development of the software components and hardware-software integration of a classified mission planning software program. In this role, you will work on aspects of an agile software development lifecycle including architecture and design, coding, and automated testing with an agile and continuous integration and delivery model. You will join a dynamic team that is focused on providing world class solutions to our customers in an exciting, collaborative, and inclusive environment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and design for software systems

  • Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system. (Visual Studio 2019; C#, C++)

  • Develops, selects, tailors, and deploys software processes, tools and metrics.

  • Works closely with other engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development.

  • Build software solutions where the solution is not always well defined but always considers the customer first.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

  • 2+ years software development & scripting experience

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications ( Desired Skills / Experience ):

  • Knowledge of Agile Development methodologies

  • Familiarity with multiple operating systems (MAC OSX, Windows, LINUX, etc.)

  • Familiarity with at least one Relational Database Management System (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.)

  • Solid understanding of software development process fundamentals

  • Strong, self-motivated desire to learn new programming languages, tools, frameworks, and techniques

  • Ability to complete tasks independently and with minimal direct supervision

Typical Education & Experience :

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualification, as well as market and business considerations. Summary base pay range $70,000 - $89,000
