In September of 2017, Bob Evans Farms was acquired by Post Holdings, Inc. and is part of the Refrigerated Retail division. Other divisions of Post include Post Consumer Brands (Cereal), Weetabix (Cereal – UK), Michael Foods (Foodservice), and 8th Avenue Food & Provisions (Private Label). Post has aggressive growth plans for BEF, highlighted by the recent deployment of capital to support innovation, marketing and manufacturing. Responsibilities Position OverviewThe Team Leader is a key contributor in delivering growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the growth agenda and executing effective strategies to facilitate profitable sales growth within the defined categories managed. The successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial drive and passion to drive transformational growth. Thought leadership, management leadership, and an ability to be data driven will be keys to success. Accountabilities • Accountable for overall customer performance vs. plan (AOP delivery), share, revenue, and margin targets for assigned accounts and assigned categories • Responsible for accurate demand plans and addresses gaps in customer strategic plan • Develops relationships with key choice makers at the management, executive level within assigned accounts • Leads customer business reviews focused on sales results, new item performance, and growth opportunities • Collaborates with broker representatives who serve as a resource for market growth opportunities, proposals and programs • Leads a team in a specific geographic territory or with a specific group of customers. • Responsible for hiring, training, developing, motivating, and evaluating managers to achieve division and company goals and objectives. Develops current and future sales leaders. • Leads account planning process for top accounts and develops the strategic and tactical plan for business with specific customers. • Implement proven fact-based selling techniques, analysis, and reporting, utilizing IRI (Information Resources Inc.) and other reputable industry resources to make recommendations and develop action plans • Collaborates with various internal teams to create winning business propositions that be benefit Bob Evans and the customer (Category Management, Trade Management, Brand, Shopper Marketing, and E-Commerce) • Champions Bob Evans culture and values, models leading practices and behaviors. Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. • Minimum of 8+ years in a sales/account management capacity in fast moving consumer packaged goods environment. • Proven record of accomplishment of delivering results in a sales leadership role. • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be proactive in identifying issues and recommending solutions. • Strong knowledge of marketing and sales principals, as well as strong strategic and reasoning skills. • Experience managing high performing, distributed teams across the globe, with track record of developing high performing teams. • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills. Sophisticated executive demeanor, comfortable interacting with C-suite. • Must be results-oriented, organized, demonstrating the ability to inspire and motivate others. • Proficient knowledge and use of MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint), Nielsen and/or IRI, experience extremely helpful. • Ability to travel 30%
