Join the Intellectual Property team to support Walmart's global trademark and copyright portfolios by maintaining dockets, monitoring deadlines, and ensuring compliance with US and foreign formality requirements. Collaborate with and assist trademark attorneys, outside counsel, and business clients, with trademark-related inquiries and generate dashboards and reports to track internal trademark statistics using Anaqua.

Join the Intellectual Property Center of Expertise within Digital Citizenship as a Trademark Paralegal. In this role, you will support our trademark and IP transaction attorneys in providing advice and counsel to teams across all of Walmart's businesses.

You'll make an impact by...

• Supporting a global trademark portfolio by applying expert knowledge and understanding of US and foreign trademark filing and prosecution practices and trademark formalities

• Coordinating, supporting, and supervising outside counsel during all stages of trademark review, clearance, and opinion work, including trademark filing, prosecution, and renewals, managing of deadlines and facilitating signing and filing of documents

• Managing and maintaining an internal trademark database, ensuring data quality, and generating dashboards and reports to track relevant trademark statistics and metrics

• Establishing and maintaining internal best practices and procedures to support the company's trademark program, including keeping and updating process documents and outside counsel guidelines

• Assisting trademark attorneys on all matters related to trademarks and copyright

• Responding to routine business inquiries related to trademark and copyright matters

• Supporting intellectual property attorneys with reviewing and drafting agreements from templates, including confidentiality, consulting, licensing, development, services agreements, and various other agreements

• Updating legal templates, processes, playbooks, and other internal tools and reference materials

• Demonstrating critical issue spotting capabilities and understanding of contractual concepts and risk areas related to indemnification, intellectual property rights, and warranties

• Developing and conducting trainings to business teams and other internal groups

• You have experience as a paralegal in the trademark practice area

• You have experience with Anaqua or a similar IP management system

• You have a demonstrated ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple deadlines

• You have familiarity with managing large dockets

• You prioritize attention to detail

• You are process-minded and look for opportunities to streamline for improved efficiency and effectiveness.

The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00-$63.00*

‎

*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

A nationally recognized paralegal certification or an ABA accredited paralegal degree AND 2 years' experience as a paralegal, legal analyst, or

otherwise performing the responsibilities of a paralegal as defined by Walmart's job description OR 3 years' experience as a paralegal, legal

analyst, or otherwise performing the responsibilities of a paralegal as defined by Walmart's job description OR a juris doctorate degree from an

accredited law school.

Preferred Qualifications...
