What you'll do...

Walmart is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Manager for our Capital Markets team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to the funding of Walmart's global business and shareholder returns while monitoring global economic data and managing financial risks.

About the team:

Walmart's Capital Markets team, part of the Global Treasury organization, is responsible for efficiently funding our global business activities and optimizing shareholder returns through low-cost capital. Our team develops crucial financial strategies, prepares materials for executive meetings, and reports on relevant data and trends. We utilize financial modeling to forecast cash flows and interest expense, manage our investment and derivative portfolios, and minimize financial exposures and counterparty risk for the company.

What you'll be doing:

  • Overseeing our commercial paper program and global investment portfolio, ensuring preset limits are not exceeded and reporting requirements are met.

  • Coordinating month-end closing activities by performing appropriate steps in required timelines, analyzing, and researching data for material discrepancies and completing necessary reporting.

  • Providing support for our daily cash flow and interest expense forecasts, monitoring trends, and adjusting forecasts as necessary while investigating variances.

  • Evaluating various shareholder return strategies and interest rate and currency exposures, making recommendations and presenting where appropriate.

  • Supporting leadership and upper-level management to determine appropriate debt funding strategies, risk management transactions, and shareholder returns.

  • Analyzing and presenting complex data in a clear and concise manner, working closely with finance executives to build meaningful presentations and reports.

  • Collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in research, financial analysis, dept capital markets, commercial paper issuance, investment and risk management, strategic planning, negotiations, capital structure, and process improvement/automation.

  • Exceptional executive communication and presentation skills.

  • A self-starter and multi-tasker who thrives in undefined areas and can manage and influence others without direct authority, operating with an appropriate sense of urgency.

  • Proficiency in financial modeling, regression analysis, and portfolio management.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field and 4 years' experience in financial services, retail analytics, retail finance, or related area OR 6 years' experience in financial services, retail analytics, retail finance, or related area.

1 year's supervisory experience.
