Job Description

One of our largest clients in the Northwest Arkansas area is looking for a Product Manager Consultant to provide their expertise on a short term contract. This consultant will be conducting an exhaustive investigation of a legacy server involving its contents, usage and impact.

This includes identifying intricate details of the server, the tables and contents within the server, their specific uses, the users, the sources feeding into the tables and the server, the impact of using the information in the tables and servers, and the refresh frequency. The consultant should also assess the potential impact of not having this information available. The intent of this exercise is to meticulously catalog and document the inventory in this server with the ultimate objective of transitioning these to an engineering governed environment in the future.

The consultant will be expected to deliver the following:

 1. Identify the list of tables that are created and delivered from the server.

 2. Define the processes responsible for creating the above-mentioned tables.

 3. Clearly state the business transformation logic applied in these processes.

 4. Collect SQL or other related codes used in the processes and their respective catalogs.

 5. Identify the owners of the business logic.

 6. Identify tables used as input in these processes.

 7. Establish a detailed documentation of the lineage of all table creation processes.

 8. Provide a comprehensive lineage of all table usage processes.

 9. Identify the users who interact with the tables.

 10. Define the business use case, data criticality, and acceptance criteria for the data retrieved from the tables.

 11. Identify existing challenges faced by users with the current tables and their usage.

 12. Specify any additional enhancements required for the tables.

 13. Identify the data model for the tables, if they exist.

 14. Specify the frequency at which the data in the tables is refreshed.

 15. Define the security and privacy categorization of the assets, if any.

 16. Identify the usage count by users, as well as the number of queries for the table over the past 6 months by day.

Provide a recommendation on tables that can be sunset due to low usage.

· 7+ years of product management experience

  · Enterprise level experience

  · Ability to understand cloud structures

  · Experience with data management

  · Ability to understand SQL and technical jargon

Ability to ramp up quickly and work in an ambiguous environment - Finance experience
