Work you'll do/Responsibilities

• As a Linux/Unix System Administrator you will be responsible for monitoring all system alerts and helping to resolve complex issues in system hardware and software.

• Proactively maintain and develop all Linux/Unix infrastructure technology to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime service.

• Engineering of systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs

• Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments.

• Fault finding, analysis and of logging information for reporting of performance exceptions.

• Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning.

• Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hot fixes on servers, workstations, and network hardware.

• Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks.

• Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment.

• Evaluate all papers per system requirements, as well as all design and development activities, and administrate all sophisticated processes.

• Create an infrastructure to handle all business requirements and execute frequent system troubleshooting to fix all difficulties.

• Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management.

  Qualifications

  Required

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Linux/Unix administration support experience in production environments with strong hands-on experience in Troubleshooting, Patching, and upgrades.

• In depth knowledge of Linux: RedHat, AIX, CentOS, SUSE, etc.

• Expert in Shell, Perl, and/or Python scripting

• Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience

• Live near or willing to relocate to Springdale, AR . Relocation assistance is available.

• Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

  Preferred

• Additional Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE and LPIC) will be considered an advantage.
