This role in summary

Whirlpool is qualified candidates for an Innovation Program Manager. This role is for our Benton Harbor, MI location

The main goal is to execute the strategic innovation road-map for cleaning category (laundry and dish) driving alignment within main stakeholders as Marketing, Design and Engineering. You will be responsible for delivering innovation projects from concept to implementation, leading the project team and coordinating cross functional stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Management of Whirlpool's global product innovation agenda (dishwashers and washing machines), leading project and portfolio, overseeing the coordination, execution and successful delivery of Innovations projects, ensuring strategic alignment and integration across the portfolio.

  • Leading ADI Innovation projects from Pre-A0 to A2 phase from design to delivery, ensuring continuous contributions from internal and external stakeholders and translating strategic business needs into technical solutions.

  • Supervision and collaboration of global cross-functional teams (marketing, design, consumer insights, engineering) to ensure project success.

  • Planning and executing design sprints, controlling project budgets and reporting status and achievements to executive leadership, ensuring adherence to KPIs and schedules, using design thinking principles and agile methodologies.

  • Performing all the communication between the project team and the cross functional stakeholders outside the team

  • Ensure project development activities are completed on time, meeting all requirements, including cost,quality and performance targets to support the project plan and project execution.

  • Responsible for system level design/cost/quality/time trade-offs and technical decision making for issueresolution within the project guardrails.

  • Fluent in English

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering

  • 2+years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering (mechanical, chemical, electrical)

  • Master Degree in Engineering or PHD

  • PMP certification

  • Agile Certification

  • System Engineering Certification

  • Opex 6Sigma

  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills

  • Product/technical domain knowledge

  • Passion for innovation mindset

  • Experience with start up or research projects or development of new technologies RSRWH
