Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Livestock Worker 1 (Permanent Part-Time) - Parx Racetrack - 2 Positions in BENSALEM, Pennsylvania

The Department of Agriculture is seeking candidates for Livestock Worker positions to assist Veterinarians to handle horses, record data, and collect samples at Parx Racetrack. Livestock Workers perform important work in ensuring that the rules, regulations, and policies of the Pennsylvania State Horse Racing Commission are followed. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As the Livestock Worker 1, you will be responsible for monitoring assigned horses, collecting urine and blood samples, performing upkeep of the Detention Barn, and assisting in any other necessary farm activities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

This is a permanent part-time position. Work hours are 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Wednesday, with 30-minute lunch. This work schedule is vendor controlled and may change as determined by the racing schedule. You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Experience in general farm work; and such training as may have been gained through completion of the eighth school grade; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Post employment Requirement: A Commission Employee License is required for this position once hired.

Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.
