Job Title: Construction EstimatorJob Description

We are seeking a mid-level construction estimator with experience in drywall or wood/metal framing estimation. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in commercial construction and be proficient in using estimation software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for drywall and wood/metal framing projects.

• Review and analyze construction documents, submittals, and project specifications.

• Manage and oversee the submittal process and construction documentation.

• Utilize Procore, QuickBid, On-Screen Takeoff, and other estimation software.

• Coordinate with project management and purchasing teams to develop proposals.

• Ensure all estimates comply with company standards and client requirements.

• Participate in project meetings and assist in the development of project schedules.

Essential Skills

• 5-10 years of experience in construction estimation.

• Proficiency in On-Screen Takeoff software.

• Experience with drywall and wood estimation.

• Strong understanding of construction document management.

• Proficiency in Procore and QuickBid software.

• Excellent project management skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with commercial construction projects.

• Knowledge of purchasing and proposal development.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment

This role requires working in the office five days a week under the VP of Estimating. The company specializes in a variety of commercial and residential projects including hospitals, office buildings, restaurants, single-family homes, and multi-story condominiums. The work environment emphasizes professionalism, integrity, and craftsmanship. Projects involve rough carpentry, general carpentry, finishing carpentry, general drywall, metal stud framing, load-bearing metal stud systems, light gauge steel trusses, insulation, acoustical wall panels and ceilings, blocking and sound sealants, and specialty ceilings.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/hr.
