Job Description
Oracle Hospitality OPERA Property Management Cloud Services are a cloud-based, mobile-enabled platform for next-generation hotel property management. Based on OPERA Property on premise, the leading enterprise solution suite for the hospitality industry, OPERA Cloud offers an intuitive user interface, comprehensive functionality for all areas of hotel management, secure data storage, and hundreds of key partner interfaces to meet the needs of hotels of all types and sizes.
The HGBU Application Engineering team play an important role in the Managing Customer Environments, improvement of Cloud deployments, automation and upgrades for HGBU applications (OPERA). Tasks include but are not limited to understand and contribute to application architecture, upgrading SSD environment.

Responsibilities
• Own and resolve issue reported by Customer/monitoring tools for Cloud hosted environments as per defined processes.
• Document and share application engineering standards – specifically Hotel applications to ensure standardization and optimization of procedures and processes
• Prepare and validate KM articles for reoccurring issue
• Roll up the sleeves in troubleshooting and help junior engineers with incident management
• Create and contribute to an environment that is geared to innovation, high productivity, high quality and customer service
Required Skills:
Experience of a best-in-class cloud or hosting organization (preferably Hospitality, Food & Beverage, or eCommerce)
Minimum 6 years of experience in administering Weblogic 11g, 12c and Oracle Middleware stack which includes OIM, OAM, OIF, OAAM, OID, OHS.
6 to 8 years of J2EE application administration experience, Oracle WebLogic Server11g/12c administration, J2EE application deployment experience on Linux OS is required.
Hands-on experience on developing and deploying microservices using Docker/Jenkins on Kubernetes.
Ability to create, manage and administer Production/UAT/development environments for an enterprise application.
Analyze existing components and recommend modifications that will enhance system reliability, availability and scalability.
Good Knowledge of Unix / Linux OS including managing / monitoring various processes, overall health of OS / File systems etc.
Basic Understanding of Oracle Database Server/or any other Database server. Experience in executing SQL queries on the database.
Provide senior-level technical support on solving complex issues requiring rapid resolution related to Oracle IDM applications and environments.
Knowledge of networking and security i.e. DNS records, Load Balancers, subnets, TLS, SSL, SAML etc.
Experience with scripting language such as UNIX Shell scripting and batch files.
Have a broad, strong technical knowledge which encompasses Application operations including deployment, Release automation, Platform architecture, Database, Network, Linux/Windows, Load-balancing / Clustering and Security

Ability to work on weekends/holidays to meet the business need is required to support production systems operations is critical
Sets high standards with respect to the treatment of customers and peers
BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent. MS would be a plus.
