Responsibilities:

  • Capture and analyze software requirements for assigned product solutions.

  • Craft and develop custom software solutions using Python, Terraform, and Cloud technologies.

  • Participate in the full development life cycle, including testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.

  • Implement designs according to specifications, ensuring adherence to development best practices.

  • Conduct routine reviews of solutions, suggest aesthetic improvements, and participate in project-related activities such as code reviews and status meetings.

  • Own the entire solution design, development, testing, and deployment process.

  • Support and tackle Cloud deployment and environment issues.

  • Document processes and runbook procedures.

  • Utilize source control tools such as GIT/GitHub/SVN.

Qualifications:

  • 4 to 8 years of meaningful work experience in software engineering.

  • Proficiency in one of the Cloud Services – AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP.

  • Strong understanding of networking and security principles in Cloud services.

  • Excellent coding and scripting skills in Python and Terraform.

  • Experience with Cloud SDK.

  • Deep expertise in implementing CI/CD methodologies in Container-Based Environments.

  • Hands-on experience in Unix Shell and MS PowerShell scripting.

  • Familiarity with frameworks such as Django and Flask (a plus).

  • Understanding of RESTful architecture.

  • Experience with build systems and source code management (GIT).

  • Working experience within a Windows, Linux, and OS X based environment.

  • Proven understanding of relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and non-relational databases (MongoDB) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of common dev/test approaches and concepts, Agile/Lean development practices, and the software development lifecycle.

  • Previous experience with code reviews and identification of issues or deviations from standard methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse, design, code, debug, test and modify new software or improvements while considering software abilities

  • Build strategic technical designs for small scope projects within team

  • Provide high-level architecture mentorship and develop specifications to resolve software problems

  • Collaborate with stakeholders on current functionality and complexity of adding features

  • Estimate effort for current and future projects of small to medium scope

  • Debug complicated issues that span multiple modules, involve sophisticated concurrency or low-level problems

  • Propose and lead process improvements projects for development, deployment or application monitoring

  • Share knowledge within team through mentorship, coaching, technical talks and blogs

People Management Responsibilities (for associates with one or more direct reports):

  • Seek to understand disagreements, ensure all perspectives are heard and facilitate a plan for resolution.

  • Delegate the work appropriately, provide clear expectations and follow up to ensure progress and overcome roadblocks. Identify associates and team priorities based on business direction and adjust when needed.

  • Lead by example and share knowledge and experiences with associates and team. Build a respectful work environment where you advocate for your team, build accountability and recognize accomplishments.

  • Provide timely feedback to encourage success, ensure accountability and connect opportunities for your associates' development.

  • Identify the right talent to achieve the desired results. Promote and build a diverse and cohesive team to accomplish objectives and align associates' skills to fill gaps.
