Oracle Software Development Manager in BENGALURU, India

Job Description

Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

Oracle Communications enables service providers and enterprises to rapidly deliver and monetize digital lifestyle services, build world-class customer experiences, and streamline operations. This position is for the BRM OCNCC (The Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control) / OC3C (Oracle Communications Convergent Charging Controller) products in the Communications Global Business Unit (CGBU) provide telecommunications charging and call control for mobile operators globally. This is a management position that will involve leading a development team for Oracle’s market-leading product. The product is in the call handling/control and billing domain and is deployed in over multiple customer locations across the globe. The Development team is responsible for customer success and roadmap development. The group uses strong product development processes.

Experience/Educational Requirements:• 4-year Bachelor's degree (B.E/B.Tech) required. Higher education in Computer Science preferred• 10+ years of software engineering(development) experience• 3+ years of experience recruiting, managing and coaching high quality software engineering teams--- Experience in a leadership role, with demonstrated success in building and establishing a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment• Collaborate seamlessly with distributed development teams in multiple locations, Product Management, Release Engg and Program managers-- A deep understanding of software development in a team environment, and a track record of shipping software on time is required• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment• Proven track record of fast learning, innovation, strategic thought leadership and teamwork• Ability to navigate large organizations, develop relationships and build network• Play a pro-active role to make the customer successful by addressing customer queries and issues• Own consistency and high quality in solution delivery

Technical skills :• Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in the design and development of enterprise applications• Experience with server-side Java development or high-performance application development• Experience in C / C++ / Core Java and hands on development skills is preferred.--- Experience in Design patterns, UML• Expertise in UNIX programming environments• Exposure to TMF Open APIs and experience in Cloud Technologies• Excellent analytical, problem-solving abilities• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to thrive in a high-performance team• Exposure to continuous integration environment like Jenkins, Behaviour Driven Development is plus• Knowledge of software development Agile methodology, build tools and product life cycle• Domain experience in Telecom Billing is an added advantage

Responsibilities

As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.
